Couples Vacations

Being with your loved one has many exciting events and important milestones, but one of the most enjoyable is taking a vacation with them. Couples vacations have increased in popularity in the past few years, especially all inclusive couples vacations. Whether it is a new love, a honeymoon, or an anniversary celebration, there are destinations and trips for every couple out there. Whether you are seeking a small bed-and-breakfast type inn, or a luxurious suite at a five-star resort, a couples vacation is a great way to bond, discover each other, reconnect, or fall in love all over again.

Some of the most popular couples resorts include Sandals Resorts, Secrets Resorts, and Club Med. Here, the adults-only atmosphere provides nothing but uninterrupted time with your partner, without the screaming sounds of children playing—which is cute, but may not be something that someone on a holiday or honeymoon is really in the mood to hear--or shouts of parents trying to control them. All inclusive couples vacations provide dining that many younger children may not enjoy, since the cuisine at couples resorts tends to be on the upscale side and considered “gourmet dining”.

Additionally, another benefit to couples vacations is that the activities are geared towards adults. In certain family-friendly resorts, the activities are based on keeping both children and adults happy. Playgrounds, game rooms, water parks, and other activities are generally limited to resorts that cater to children. Couples resorts, however, base their selection of activities to those that adults would enjoy and wouldn’t be found anywhere else. These activities can include everything from Zen philosophy, candle making, star gazing, wine tasting, sushi making, tango lessons, and photography classes. These all inclusive couples vacations go above and beyond to provide the most unique and romantic activities to bring a couple closer together.

Accommodations at couples resorts usually tend to be geared towards romance as well. Most upscale, luxury resorts have rooms that contain marble floors, tropical hardwood, a massive king or queen sized bed with fluffy comforters and pillows and silky sheets. The bathrooms are usually marble and glass, oftentimes with Jacuzzis or bathtubs with jets in them. Patios and balconies furnished with beautiful tropical furniture and tasteful decorations in the room make the views inside almost as beautiful as the ones outside.

Many couples hotels and resorts will offer special packages for those on a honeymoon or just want some additional romance or pampering. For an additional fee, resorts will pull out all the stops and provide everything from candlelit dinners, rose petals on the floor and bed of the room, couple’s massages, special fruit baskets, champagne, special suites that contain Jacuzzis, and much more.

Couples vacations are a great way to spend some quality time getting closer to a loved one. What could be better than laying in the tropical sun, sipping a cold frozen drink while turquoise water laps gently at your feet, discussing which gourmet restaurant should be on the itinerary for dinner that evening?
