Maui Vacation Packages
With the distinctive honor of being voted "Best Pacific Island" by Conde Nast Traveler, there is little chance that visitors to Maui could ever leave feeling less than satisfied. This is why Maui vacation packages and luxury resorts are incredibly popular!
One of the reasons Hawaii vacations in Maui are so popular are the Humpback whale populations. Approximately 3,000 Humpback whales journey to Maui each winter, and many Maui all inclusive vacation packages include whale watching and boat charters as part of the activities they offer.
Maui claims over 120 miles of coastline, 30 miles of those are beaches. Many of those beaches are easily accessible, with lifeguards, restrooms, and picnicking spots. Other beaches are secluded and off the beaten path. All of them feature glittering turquoise water, tropical tradewinds, and brilliant blue skies. The sand ranges in color from powdering white to volcanic black. There are plenty of water activities to take part in during vacations in Maui. Windsurfing, snorkeling, beachcombing, and surfing, along with scuba diving, sailing, and riding on a catamaran are all features of many of the Maui resorts. Notable beaches include D.T. Fleming Beach Park (voted America's Best Beach in 2006) and Kaanapali Beach (voted America's Best Beach in 2003)
Land activities are also part of Maui all inclusive vacations. Bicycle tours, eco-tours, sightseeing and horseback riding, visiting plantation, farms, and gardens, and enjoying a few rounds of golf are all part of the charm of Maui.
At night, there is no shortage of thing to do. Luau and Polynesian shows are common at most Maui resorts. Hawaiian cruises dinner shows are a great activity for the whole family, with singing, dancing, magic, food, and fun. Sushi bars and lounges showcase the finest sushi this side of Tokyo, and sweeping ocean views make the drinks seem even better.
For activities that are a little off the beaten path, check out local events such as the International Festival of Canoes or the Kapalua Festival of the Arts. Or head down to the Kula Botanical Garden to see exquisite tropical flowers, such as orchids and Birds of Paradise. Try a taste of pineapple wine at the Tedeschi Winery, where a day of wine tasting will convince you that incredible wines don't just come from France. Wake up early and head to the top of Haleakala Crater to watch the sun come up, a sunrise that you won't soon forget and may possibly be unmatched from anywhere else in the world. Or hike past Hana to admire the frothing beauty of 400 foot Waimoku Falls.
